Our Congregation

The Paramus Congregational Church was organized in 1950 when the residential development of Paramus began. As the truck farms were transformed into housing developments, residents, many World War II veterans purchasing their homes on GI loans, wanted a spiritual home for their families, just as they wanted good houses and friendly neighbors. The Paramus Congregational Church - a democratic chuch with freedom to include a wide variety of beliefs - was gathered to provide worship, Christian Education, youth activities and social gatherings.
